Ashley Hallock
Publishing under the artist name Ashley Siddal, Hallock is the creator of the Shadowscapes: Reminiscent trilogy: Isolation, Reflection, and Abstraction.
Experimental photographer advancing art at the intersection of light, shadow, and experience.
Ashley Hallock’s work engages photography as both image and threshold: intimate and estranged, documentary and dreamlike, sensuous and conceptually precise. Across the Shadowscapes: Reminiscent trilogy, she explores atmosphere, liminality, reflection, abstraction, and the affective force of the overlooked image.
Visual and Conceptual Register
Hallock’s images collapse familiar visual taxonomies that ordinarily stabilize the viewer’s orientation. Reflections, atmospheric textures, obscured surfaces, organic structures, and abstracted forms become sites of feeling, perception, and contemplative encounter.
Featured Media and Institutional Visibility
Her work has been featured on Fox 26, KHOU Channel 11, and Great Day Houston, and has appeared in promotional campaigns associated with Microsoft, BP, Chevron, Rice University, the City of Houston, and additional public-facing institutional initiatives.
