Institutional Overview

Kino-X, an initiative of the Kino-Eye Center for Visual Innovation, is a nonprofit education and workforce innovation platform dedicated to preparing K–12 students, college learners, educators, and adult workforce participants for success in the rapidly evolving digital economy. Operating at the intersection of artificial intelligence, emerging technology, digital media production, engineering leadership, and workforce development, Kino-X builds programs that expand access to future-ready skills while creating pathways into higher education, entrepreneurship, and industry careers.

Through partnerships with schools, community colleges and universities, corporations, nonprofits, and community organizations, Kino-X delivers scalable learning experiences that combine technical literacy, creative production, leadership development, and project-based innovation. In addition to direct learner programming, Kino-X provides educator training and train-the-trainer support, enabling instructors and partner institutions to implement Kino-X skilling modules as courses, standalone learning experiences, or integrated certificate pathways. Kino-X also offers content and curriculum development, custom program creation, and applied research in education and pedagogy to strengthen teaching practice and improve learning outcomes.

Programs within the Kino-X ecosystem—including the Microsoft-affiliated EPIC, FAST, and VIP initiatives—have served more than 30,000 learners across K–12, higher education, and workforce environments.

Esports, Gaming & Streaming

Kino-X supports learners interested in gaming culture and esports by teaching the professional skills required to turn gameplay into creative production, community building, and digital entrepreneurship.

Leadership

Dr. Cesare Wright

Founder & President, Kino‑Eye Center

Dr. Cesare Wright is a technocultural anthropologist, educator, and innovation strategist working at the intersection of technology, media, and culture. He co‑developed the Rice Center for Engineering Leadership (RCEL) at Rice University, where he created action‑learning leadership programs that achieved 100% internship placement and full‑time career placement for multiple cohorts of engineering students. At Univ. of St. Thomas, he created the MA Program in Digital Media and Emergent Technology. Dr. Wright also developed the Microsoft EPIC, FAST, and VIP program, which have collectively served more than 30,000 learners across K–12, higher education, and workforce programs.

His work integrates artificial intelligence, digital media production, leadership development, and workforce innovation.
