MEDIA-X is a project-based production track for aspiring filmmakers, streamers, and digital storytellers who want professional skills and repeatable workflows.
Cinematography fundamentals, framing, movement, and visual storytelling.
Lighting for clean, cinematic results plus sound capture essentials.
Post-production fundamentals, structure, pacing, polish, and delivery.
Setup, scene switching, and cross-platform broadcasting for events & esports.
Includes social-first content strategy (YouTube, TikTok, Shorts, Twitch) and brand storytelling fundamentals.
🤖 LEAD-X — Technology Leadership & Emerging Innovation
Leadership • design thinking • ethics
LEAD-X develops leadership, communication, and project skills through hands-on innovation challenges tied to the real-world impact of emerging technologies.
AI, AR/VR, esports, social media, and digital experience design.
Team-based problem solving, prototyping, iteration, and delivery.
Pitching, stakeholder messaging, collaboration, and team leadership.
Real-world implications, decision frameworks, and technology futures.
Anime Edition: case studies in utopian/dystopian societies to think clearly about technology’s societal impact.

About the Program Director
Designed and led by Dr. Cesare Wright — an expert in engineering leadership, emerging technology, and digital media.
- 10+years as a University Professor
- 20+ years industry experience, non-profit leadership, and professional media production
- Co-developed the Rice Center for Engineering Leadership (RCEL) and taught engineering at Rice University
- Led programs including Rice Drone Camp, Rice ELITE Camp, and Microsoft Drone Academy
- Developed and directed Microsoft EPIC, FAST, and VIP
- Created the MA in Digital Media & Emergent Technology at the University of St. Thomas
